Different types of environments are used to welcome optimum growth and learning during the residential retreats. Some of
the learning will take place within the ‘learning circle’ created in the conference room. Whilst more learning will take place in
adventure-based-learning settings. An experiential-contextual approach to adult learning is used throughout both retreats. This means the participants will be active in their own learning and very little traditional theoretical teaching takes place. As such they will be treated as “leaders” from the moment they enter the space.
